Sack Azam Khan for gross misuse of official authority

Social activist Dr Nutan Thakur has asked for sacking the Minorities Welfare Minister Azam Khan for gross misuse of his official authority for personal and religious purposes.

In her letter to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, she has said that Azam Khan is issuing press-statement on provocative religious and political issues on his official letter-pad of the State government with the State emblem on it where he specifically mentions himself as Minister of the State government and puts his signature as a Minister.

Dr Thakur has presented half a dozen government letters issued by Azam Khan between 04 to 12 August where he denigrates Jewish religion, denigrates the BJP government and a social organization RSS. The words used by him in these official letters are such that they inflame inter-religious,  Hindu-Muslim and Shia-Sunni conflict. He uses extremely foul and improper language against Shia religious leader, Kalb-e-Jawwad , without naming him.

Saying that this misuse of official status goes against the Constitutional provisions and the oath taken by the Ministers, Dr Thakur says it has now become mandatory to sack  Azam Khan.

आज़म खान को सत्ता के व्यापक दुरुपयोग पर बर्खास्तगी की मांग 

सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता डॉ नूतन ठाकुर ने अल्पसंख्यक कल्याण मंत्री आज़म खान को व्यक्तिगत और धार्मिक लाभ के लिए अपने शासकीय पद का व्यापक दुरुपयोग करने के कारण मंत्रिमंडल से बर्खास्त करने की मांग की है.

मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव को भेजे अपने पत्र में उन्होंने कहा कि आज़म खान ने उत्तर प्रदेश शासन के निशान वाले सरकारी पैड पर खुद को राज्य सरकार का मंत्री बताते हुए भड़काऊ राजनैतिक और धार्मिक बातें अपने हस्ताक्षर से जारी किये हैं.

डॉ ठाकुर ने 04 से 12 अगस्त के बीच आज़म खान द्वारा लिखे लगभग आधा दर्जन पत्रों को प्रस्तुत किया है जिसमे उन्होंने यहूदी धर्म, बीजेपी की केन्द्रीय सरकार और आरएसएस संस्था की सरकारी प्रेस नोट में निंदा की. उन्होंने इन सरकारी प्रेस नोट में ऐसी बातें कहीं जिससे अंतर्धार्मिक तनाव, हिन्दू-मुस्लिम तनाव और शिया-सुन्नी तनाव फैलने की पूरी सम्भावना है. उन्होंने शिया धार्मिक नेता  कल्बे जव्वाद का बिना नाम लिए काफी भद्दे और घटिया शब्दों का प्रयोग किया.

डॉ ठाकुर के अनुसार उनका यह कृत्य संवैधानिक प्राविधानों और मंत्री के रूप में लिए गए उनके शपथ के खिलाफ होने के कारण अब उन्हें बर्खास्त करना अपरिहार्य हो गया है.
